70+ Christians Arrested in Iran
The last thing I expected on Christmas Day was for armed U.S. soldiers to barge into my house and take Sharon and I away, leaving our 5, 4, and 1 year old children to fend for themselves as they screamed and cried as we were dragged away. It wasn't even on my radar. And, of course, it didn't happen. But for these Christian brothers and sisters, it did.
We've been talking of late about the Church being a Spirit-created, Spirit-empowered family of missionaries. When we talk about family, we mean family. When one rejoices, we all rejoice. When one grieves, we all grieve. When one is hurt, we all hurt. As I read about these brothers and sisters who experienced a very different Christmas Day than I did, my heart was heavy, and the prayer came quickly, "Come, Lord Jesus, come." If you need some perspective today, check out this article and these pictures, and read about some of the things that your Family is going through today.
