This past Sunday at our gathering I shared with our church family the public news of a fellow minister in town who disqualified himself from eldership. He was caught in adultery, and has since confessed to multiple accounts of it. The pastor in question oversaw the youth department of a large church, so as you can imagine the ripple-effect will be huge. And let's face it. We live in a small town. Word spreads.
