About Us

Grace Covenant Church is a group of imperfect saints who love to worship Jesus, fellowship with one another, preach the Word and evangelize the lost until Christ returns.

The church (unintentionally!) began in the fall of 2003 when Greg McPherson gathered a handful of young couples and began mentoring them in marriage and family.  For two years this group met every week for two hours of lectures, including homework assignments and one-on-one coaching.  It proved to be a revolutionary time for each couple as they begin understanding God's design for oneness in marriage and how it projects to the world Christ's covenant-keeping love for His people.

In 2005, a few families joined the group and, under the leadership of Rev. McPherson, the men began meeting for a weekly Bible study.  For 18 months they met on Tuesday nights to pray, dream, wrestle with theology, study church history, ecclesiology, historic creeds, and different church models.  With growing excitement centered on the gospel and glory of Christ, they began praying about the possibility of planting a God-centered, Christ-exalting, Gospel-preaching missional church-planting church.

In 2007, as excitement grew, several other families joined the vision.  Now the church-planting team of 15 families began meeting together on Sunday mornings.  For one year they met, worshipped, prayed, and begin laying infrastructural pieces in place.  Excited to share the gospel and sensing the Lord's leading, the group felt ready to plant.

In the Spring of '08, Grace Covenant Church opened its doors as an official "church plant"!  After a few months, the warehouse they were meeting in would not hold them, and the Lord provided a new place to grow into at the Cashmere Riverside Center.  After a busy and exciting year, GCC outgrew that space and moved to Wenatchee.  They currently meet at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wenatchee, WA.

As a church, it is our passion to live on mission for the Kingdom of God with the message of the gospel, to be a culture of light within a culture of darkness, to live as a City of hope within a city of hopelessness.  We passionately believe our call is not to withdraw from culture but rather move into our culture with the message of the goodnews of God's Kingdom.

That's our mission.  Exalt Christ.  Serve each other.  Engage our city and culture with the gospel.  We look forward to what God will do among us as we strive to make Jesus central in all we do.
